Island story
Annabel Catherine MacLean MacDonald is commemorated at R3-001 in the Pioneer Cemetery. The stone records Annabel C. MacLean, 1925–1954, as the beloved wife of Frank MacDonald, 1924–1988. This explicit inscription establishes their memorial spouse relationship; it does not establish the date or circumstances of their marriage. Annabell MacDonald's 1954 death return records her as born and resident on Pictou Island and names William MacLean and Cora MacCallum as her parents. It identifies Frank Wallace MacDonald as her husband and informant. She died on 3 June 1954 at Pictou. Her earlier 1945 marriage under the name Annabell Catherine MacLean to William Miles MacKinnon is a separate documented event. The sources establish the recorded family identities without explaining how that marriage ended or how her surname changed.

Incomplete names and identity candidates
Name and accepted-alias matches appear before initials-only possibilities. Within each group, records with no known date conflict and an accepted connection to the selected relative appear first. This is an evidence ordering, not a probability. Compare generation, known relatives, census units, memorials and dated sources in each record. No suggestion changes a family relationship.
Contribute evidence or a correction →Census households · 1911
195 enumerated residents in 37 original census family units. These are source households, not inferred genealogical branches or street addresses. Cancelled entries are excluded; source spellings and recorded ages are retained.
A person-to-household crosswalk has not been accepted here for this selection. Browse the source units independently below.
Other census years remain in the existing research records pending equivalent public field and identity review.
