Island story
Hannah MacKenzie is commemorated at R6-011 and explicitly identified as the wife of Duncan MacKenzie. The same monument also names Alexander, Jessie and a younger Duncan MacKenzie. The younger Duncan’s 1926 death registration names Duncan and Hannah as his parents, establishing that relationship; Alexander and Jessie’s relationships remain unresolved. The original 1881 census places Hannah, aged 65, in family 8 with Duncan McKenzie, aged 70, and four younger McKenzies. Her surname is entered with a ditto continuing McKenzie; an earlier transcription reading McDonald is not supported by this row. This entry does not establish her maiden surname. The schedule has no relationship-to-head column, so co-residence alone does not establish parentage.

Incomplete names and identity candidates
Name and accepted-alias matches appear before initials-only possibilities. Within each group, records with no known date conflict and an accepted connection to the selected relative appear first. This is an evidence ordering, not a probability. Compare generation, known relatives, census units, memorials and dated sources in each record. No suggestion changes a family relationship.

195 enumerated residents in 37 original census family units. These are source households, not inferred genealogical branches or street addresses. Cancelled entries are excluded; source spellings and recorded ages are retained.
A person-to-household crosswalk has not been accepted here for this selection. Browse the source units independently below.
Other census years remain in the existing research records pending equivalent public field and identity review.
