Island story
James Ward MacCallum belonged to the Pictou Island MacCallum family remembered by Ruth Munro as the family of “Little Dan” and Susan MacCallum. In 1921 Ward, age thirty-seven, appears with Dollie MacCallum and children Ona, Andrew and Isabel. By 1931 Ward was forty-seven and recorded as a farmer operating a general farm on his own account. His household included his wife Dolina, children Ona, Andrew, Isabel and Carl, infant granddaughter Lois, and his brother Chester. The early-2000s Sutherland Cemetery survey records Ward’s memorial dates as 1884–1973.

Incomplete names and identity candidates
Name and accepted-alias matches appear before initials-only possibilities. Within each group, records with no known date conflict and an accepted connection to the selected relative appear first. This is an evidence ordering, not a probability. Compare generation, known relatives, census units, memorials and dated sources in each record. No suggestion changes a family relationship.

A person-to-household crosswalk has not been accepted here for this selection. Browse the source units independently below.
Other census years remain in the existing research records pending equivalent public field and identity review.
