Ruth Munro’s family material lists Janetta among the children of Hector and Jessie MacDonald and also places a Janetta MacDonald in the Island’s further-training record. The surname transition to Volpe is strongly suggested by the memorial but an independent marriage or family record is still needed before that identity is treated as settled.
