John C. MacDonald is commemorated at R7-013 with Margaret C. MacDonald. The memorial records 1847–1935. The original 5 December 1878 Pictou marriage records John McC. McDonald and Margaret C. McCallum as an Island-born and resident couple. Margaret’s 1950 death registration identifies her as John C. MacDonald’s widow. These civil sources establish the spouse relationship separately from the memorial transcription; the earlier initial form is preserved as written.
