Cap.t Rob.t McDonald b 1838 -- d 1893. A native of Pictou Island. Who sailed six years as officer on the missionary ship "Day Spring." Drowned off Pictou Island while in the employ of W.m McLure who has erected this stone to the emeory of a faithful employee. Inscription: Morrison Bros. Pictou.
