John Thomas Munro was born in Stellarton in 1919, the son of John “Tom” Munro and Dolina “Dolly” Cunningham. He married Eva Harriet Campbell in 1943, and their children included Tom, Kirk and Ishbel. His obituary records an engineering career, wartime naval service and later volunteer work, while his continuing connection to Pictou Island included lobster fishing with his sons into later life.
