John Thomas Munro (7 February 1919–3 September 2009) and Eva Harriet (born 5 June 1923) share a memorial. It records their marriage on 25 August 1943. Eva’s death date is not inscribed in this photograph.
John was born in Stellarton, a son of (John) Tom Munro and Dolina (Dolly Cunningham) Munro. His wife was Eva Campbell; their children were Tom, Kirk and Ishbel. After raising their family in the Toronto area, John and Eva returned to Nova Scotia and spent many seasons on Pictou Island. His obituary recalls lobster fishing with his sons until the age of eighty, alongside a lifelong interest in outdoor activities, music and community volunteering.
