Allan MacFarlane

Island story
Allan MacFarlane and his wife Annie Wilkins MacCallum formed part of a large twentieth-century Pictou Island family whose memorials provide an unusually rich cemetery record. Their Pioneer Cemetery family monument at R9-017 names Allan, Annie, Smith A. MacFarlane and Helen S. MacFarlane; nearby R9-016 commemorates daughter Allena Mae Robertson and grandson James William Robertson. Census and family research connect the household to the wider MacFarlane and MacCallum families. The memorial record is strong, but a fuller account of Allan’s occupation and individual life remains under development, so this profile is intentionally family-centred rather than padded with assumptions.
