Island story

Arthur Roy MacCallum was born on Pictou Island in 1906 and appears in the 1931 census as Roy MacCallum in the Charles C. MacCallum household. He married Catherine MacDonald. Local-history sources connect Roy with carpentry, boatbuilding, lobster-factory work and the Island telephone system. Roy also contributed knowledge and map work to Ruth Munro’s Island history.
