Island story

Harold A. Bennett is named on Church Cemetery memorial C-004 with his wife Beatrice and an infant son. PIHS oral-history evidence identifies Harold as a farm hand who worked for Campbell MacCallum, linking the Bennett family directly to the Island’s agricultural history. Beatrice’s 2008 obituary records Harold as her husband at that time. PIHS does not infer a later death date from the memorial or obituary.
