Beatrice Ann MacCallum Bennett was born on Pictou Island in 1931, a daughter of Howard and Jessie MacCallum. She married Harold Bennett, and her obituary records a large family as well as an infant son who died young. PIHS family recollection links Harold to work on Campbell MacCallum’s farm, while Beatrice’s own family history connects the Bennett and MacCallum lines.
