Person and family story

PIHS’s South Lighthouse research connects Lauchlan “Lauchie” Rankin with two keeper appointments, 1910–1912 and 1936–1945, as well as farming and sawmill work.

The monument transcription uses the spelling Laughlin. This connected history is retained as a spelling-qualified PIHS identification, not as a substitute for the inscription.
