Island story

Duncan Rankin is commemorated at R4-011 in the Pioneer Cemetery. Ruth Munro’s local history describes a west-end Rankin farm passing through two generations named Duncan before George and Ernest Rankin. The memorial may belong within that succession, but PIHS does not assign which Duncan solely from the name and death year. His record therefore links the cemetery to the farm-history research while keeping the generational identity open.
