Lester Hooper

Island story
Lester Hooper is commemorated at R2-001 in the Pioneer Cemetery with his wife Annabell MacLean Hooper and their son John Ralph Hooper. The memorial records Lester as 1887–1953. It also preserves John Ralph’s wartime remembrance while explicitly noting that John was buried in Holland. Lester’s record therefore links an Island family memorial to an overseas military grave without confusing commemoration with burial.
