Island story
Lavina Glover MacDonald was a daughter of Edward “Eddie” Glover and Anna J. Glover, part of a Pictou Island family closely associated with winter mail and iceboat travel. The 1921 and 1931 censuses place Lavina in the Glover household with siblings including Ruth and Elmer. She later married James Duncan MacDonald and is commemorated with him at Church Cemetery memorial C-017. Her biography links cemetery, family and transportation history through the Glover network.
