James Duncan MacDonald is commemorated with Lavina M. Glover MacDonald. The 1931 census records James MacDonald, age twenty-four, working as a lobster fisherman. Earlier household evidence suggests that he was a son of Happy Angus MacDonald and Dollie MacFarlane, but that relationship has not yet been independently confirmed. His marriage to Lavina connects his story to the Glover winter-mail family.
