Island story

Angus Hector “Happy Angus” MacDonald was born at Little Sands, Prince Edward Island, and became the head of a large Pictou Island family with Adeline “Dollie” MacFarlane. Their children included figures central to later Island history, including John Alexander “Jack Happy” MacDonald and Andrew “Happy” MacDonald. The family is closely connected with fishing, lighthouse life and the Island’s oral-history tradition.
